Webasto Selects Advanced Measurements SOFC Test Stand
Calgary - January 30, 2003 - Advanced Measurements (AMI) has recently been awarded a contract to build and deliver a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) test stand in Spring 2003 for Germany-based Webasto Thermosysteme GmbH.
Dr. Christian Wunderlich, Director Development APU noted, "Webasto recognizes market opportunities and trends early on and converts them into groundbreaking and innovative products. In the field of vehicle temperature management, it is looking to enhance the standstill heating function by adding standstill climate control and electricity supply. This will be achieved with an APU based on a SOFC fuel cell stack. Webasto has identified AMI as the most advanced supplier of SOFC test stands in the world. Selection was based on the maturity of the product and versatile functionality. We are confident that commissioning will occur without delays, allowing reliable test results to be obtained quickly."
"AMI is excited to have secured its first key client in Germany, a considerable achievement, and is looking forward to building its relationship with Webasto and other European corporations. The award of this contract further demonstrates Advanced Measurements' ability to provide Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Test Stands worldwide", says AMI's president, Len Johnson.
